The floodgates have been opened..... they'll let anyone write on here, as you can see. Sorry for bringing the collective value of this blog down, folks, but until Neems sees fit to give me the boot, andrew3sixteen will be here dumbing down the blog and hopefully doubling all of our dollars. How, I dont know, as this site isn't exactly a revenue generator. But I digress.

First up... some of yall need to know that DG and 3sixteen are putting together this really crazysexycool giveaway thingy that will be officially jumping off on Monday. Here's the super secret teaser pic that doesn't really tell you much of anything, but suffice it to say that it will turn heads, upset people, and cause some general mayhem. One can only hope. At the very least it should give you a good chuckle.

In other less-important news. I'm in Honolulu for a little bit and will be posting periodic updates on the scene out here... coolguy pictures, info, updates, whatever. There's so much going on on this here little island that it's crazy. Today I'm off to hang with Keith at the Waikiki In4mation store location, so pics from there are forthcoming.

I'm also embarking on a bit of a quest while I am out here - my task is to realize a childhood memory of Nima's when he was out here in Hawaii long ago, and that is to locate and purchase a Hawaiian dipped candle of many colors that is preferably carved and shaped into "funny little things" - which I took to mean as male genitalia. (Duh.) So... yeah. We'll see how that goes.

So, apologies to Chaddypoo for pushin him down the blotem pole. That said, I bring you the best Friday video pick yet. When I found this joint on youtube, it almost made my 'dick ard like rott-wiler.' Belly fans may recognize this riddim. It's the legendary Unda Wata riddim and this is the video-medley. too many Champions to list, but this is one of the heaviest hitting medleys ever. The vocals are a little out of sync in the vid, but dope none the less. Tell Mr. Ox there a man name Tommy out here a fi see him.

I couldn't just let Wally's Def Leppard vid ride out the weekend at the top of the blog...so I thought I'd offer a sneak peek for a new brand we're droppin next week. We've been thinking there was room on the site for a good reggae based brand, and just then along comes SELECTOR! which is a well-designed, subtle, musically inspired t-shirt brand. You won't find excessive reliance on the good old Lion of Judah (which we love to death, but we all know it's BEEN DONE) and you won't find them using the tried and true red gold and green too much either. SELECTOR! pays tribute to some of the golden moments, personalities, and riddims of Jamaica's incredibly rich music history...enjoy! SELECTOR! will also be dropping in some of the finer boutiques around the world in the next week or so.

Over the last few months and seasons, we've successfully introduced more brands from overseas to the site - brands from the UK, from Japan, and Europe are all taking off and going strong. Next on the map? Australia! Brought to you by some certified names in the hip hop scene downunder, Blank are good peoples, and they make good gear for other good people to enjoy. The design is clean with a nice solid graf influence and the cut and sew garments are impeccable and invariably subtle and stylish. But that's enough from me...peep their website for the whole deal...We're expecting their Fall line around September so be on the look out for that. In the meantime, the good folks at Blank hit us off with some "Smells Good" mix CDs of theirs to hand out...so we'll be including these in random orders for the next few weeks until we run out! It's a dope mix by the talented DJ Ransom...it touches on everything from soul to funk to reggae to hip hop to r&B and back again with great mixes and sick blends too. So these mu-fuckas been buggin the shit outta me to post on this blog. So, I thought I would start a "Friday video post." Every Friday, I will post an ill music video that you have probably either forgotten about or didn't even know existed. I will be posting weekly, until I get bored with it. So for our first installmnent, we head to a pre-hyphy "Town" for a gem from Caine's cousin. Ya dig?

Yeah, you too

So while SERV and Neems are off in Spain living it up, the rest of the crew is holding it down here in LA. Friday night was the jumpoff at the Larchmont which saw me and Japes and Chadypooh and Mr44 not to mention 3sixteen Yohan all holdin it down, enjoying the good company, and the music provided by DJ ROIAL 1 and co, and possibly the alcohol a little too much too. But wait, there's more. Saturday was blazing hot so I told Chadypooh to come kick it in Venice. So we're walking past that main part of the boardwalk, headed for the graf walls, and aiming for the beach, when we get distracted by this girl's 3 on 3 soccer game being held by Nike. These girls were about 12 years old and were ridiculously good. Then we looked over to our left and saw there were about 20 more of these games going on, and one big central stage with a stadium all surrounded with Nike Joga Bonito flags everywhere. Curiosity had got us by now so we wandered over to the main stage to see what was goin on over there. Meanwhile there's a DJ spinning music and chattering on the mic about all the games that are going on when..."and at the main stage we'll be featuring a performance by The Clipse at 4:15." "Dude, did you hear that?" "I think so." "Did he say The Clipse?" "I think so." "Here, at Venice Beach, at 4:15?" "I think so." So guess where we were at 4:15...thanks to Joga Bonito, aka Nike, we had front row seats for a short concert by The Clipse. I think it was probably the best day of the year to be on Venice Beach...this is what i call "living the good life."





They kept it short and sweet, peforming their best known tunes like What happened to that boy, Grindin, Mr Me Too and 3 or 4 more off of the We Got It 4 Cheap mixtapes. Man...what a dope day.
